Enpowering Students to Explore Careers in Civil Engineering
On Friday, September 20th, DE’s Andrew Woodroof returned to Brother Martin High School to participate in the school’s annual Career Day. All freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors attended three 25-minute Career Day sessions. Each session gave students the opportunity to learn about career options from alumni representing over 50 different professions.
In addition to the sessions, twelve alumni agreed to meet individually with juniors and seniors to share in-depth information about their careers in a one-on-one setting. Andrew participated in these one-on-one sessions, meeting with seniors who have a high interest in pursuing a civil engineering degree and provided the students with insight into what they can expect while pursuing their degrees and early in their career.
