MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • A strong understanding of accounting practices and procedures.

  • Experience in CRM & Project Management software or system preferred; Experience in Deltek Vantage Point strongly preferred.

  • Preferred: 5 years of job specific experience in a staff accounting position; or an equivalent level of education or industry specific training can be substituted.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications, with experience in Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
    Professional demeanor at all times; ability to act as an organization representative to the public.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Controller or Company Ownership, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting in the coordination of credit, billing, accounting, and collection efforts as needed. This position interacts with both internal and external staff, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Responsible for ensuring proper expense approvals are met prior to entry into Vantagepoint accounting software.

  • Responsible for entering in various payable and credit card transactions into Vantagepoint accounting software.

  • Assist in collecting and entering new and/or updated vendor data such as COI collections W9s and gathering banking information on an as needed basis.

  • Assist in recording receipt of payment from clients.
    Compile and evaluate relevant documents including contracts and invoices to track contract revenue.

  • Assist in client adjustments on an as needed basis.
    Assist in the bank and credit card reconciliation process and help with month end close.
    Responsible for providing various accounting reports on an as needed basis.

  • Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary.

  • Maintains confidentiality of financial data, internal documentation, and external communication.

    Compliance

  • Assist in managing and maintaining financials on a modified GAAP basis.

  • Assist in Annual Compilation and Overhead Audit with external auditors.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data, internal documentation, and external communication.

  • Able to maintain accuracy, quality, and deadlines in work product.
    Customer Service

  • Maintains a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers and clients.

  • Ensure that the standards set forth by the company are maintained at all times.

  • Willingness to partake in educational opportunities to stay up to date on job specific knowledge and growth.
    Other

  • Serves as support to any supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks.

  • Assist with special projects as needed.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

  • CAD – Utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD software for project designing, takeoffs, and modeling.
