Andrew Woodroof Honored with ASCE Region 5 Award
An extended congratulations to Andrew K. Woodroof, P.E. of Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc., as the selected 2025 Civil Engineer of the Year for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – Region 5. This Region consists of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
Region 5 recipients from the New Orleans Branch were recognized at the latest ASCE New Orleans Branch luncheon held on March 25, 2026, at Southport Hall in New Orleans, LA. The Civil Engineer of the Year award recognizes an individual with demonstrated record of service to the ASCE organization, service to the advancement of the profession, significant technical contributions, and dedication to the community outside of engineering.
Mr. Woodroof is a Principal and Practice Lead for our Water Resources SBU. He offers 18 years of experience with Water Resources, Coastal, and Environmental Engineering projects in our local community and Gulf Coast region. Beyond his work, Andrew has held leadership positions within ASCE since 2015 with the New Orleans Branch and Louisiana Section. He is a Past-President of the New Orleans Branch, Past-Chair of the Louisiana Chapter of the Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute, and current serves as the Past-President of the Louisiana Section. He is currently licensed in Louisiana and Mississippi and is a Certified Professional in Municipal Stormwater Management.
