LA 1077 Corridor Traffic Analysis
St. Tammany Parish engaged DE to evaluate operational and safety issues along the LA 1077 Corridor, spanning Brewster Road to US Hwy 190. Growth in the corridor over the last 15 years — including new schools, recreation facilities, and residential and commercial development — created pressing transportation challenges.

Traffic Improvements
DE conducted traffic counts, turning movement studies, speed studies, and geometric field reviews at multiple locations. Using microsimulation modeling, DE developed existing, no-build, and build scenarios to test various alternatives for congestion relief and safety improvements.
Roadway Planning
The study was conducted in accordance with LADOTD’s Traffic Engineering Process and Report (TEPR) guidelines, with close coordination with LADOTD District 62 and Headquarters Traffic. The final report provided actionable recommendations and a roadmap for future improvements across 17 miles of roadway.
