Alan Krouse, P.E.
We are excited to welcome Alan Krouse to the DE Team! Alan joins us with an impressive resume of designing and managing major transportation infrastructure projects throughout Louisiana. His 43 years of experience spans a career working for both the public sector and private consulting companies.
As a Coordinating Squad Leader in Road Design for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), Alan managed projects in excess of $100 million that required the coordination of 20 design consultants in major metropolitan areas.
Following his tenure at LADOTD, Alan entered the professional engineering consultant industry where he has designed more than 25 roadway projects, including rural and urban design totaling more than $70 million. He is also highly specialized in port, rail and airport design as well as drainage and sewer.
A native of Louisiana, Alan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University and holds a Professional Engineering license in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. He currently serves on the Louisiana Complete Streets Advisory Council, and the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying (LAPELS) board.
As a Senior Project Manager at DE, Alan will be managing complex infrastructure projects and performing QAQC, as well as mentoring our team’s young technical professionals. He can be reached at akrouse@deii.net.
